This bylaw provides for the exemption of taxes for the purposes of economic development.  This bylaw in particular exempts taxes on unsold lots at Pelican Landing for the maximum time frame of 5 years beginning in 2018.

Pelican Landing Acres undertook the process to revise their subdivision plan.  As part, this bylaw was required to approve the exchange municipal reserve as part of the approval process.  Land owners that are subdividing land are required to transfer a portion of that land to the municipality at no cost. This is done in order to ensure that a sufficient area, including parks and recreation space, is secured for the good of the community.  The bylaw includes a map which indicates this new municipal reserve lands.
