
RM Joins Fight Against Clubroot
At the September 15, 2017 Regular Meeting of Council, Council passed the following bylaw and policy in their effort to prevent the spread and infection of Clubroot within the RM of Calder No. 241.Clubroot is a serious disease of cruciferous plants such as canola that can cause devastating yield losses. It is a soil borne disease that is easily transferred via contaminated soil residing on equipment, seed, etc. and there are limited options for controlling this disease. Clubroot was confirmed in Saskatchewan in October 2011 to be present in two different locations in north central Saskatchewan.
