According to our Building Bylaw, building permits are required for building, altering and demolishing buildings and fences within our resort residential area commonly known as Pelican Landing. At the request of ratepayers at Pelican Landing, Council passed a bylaw to provide for the reduction in building fees for items pertaining to fences and demolition.Building fees that were $500 each are now $20 for building or altering a fence and the cost for a demolition permit is now free. The reason for this reduction is to not discourage cleaning up the properties at Pelican Landings. Rather, it is desired to encourage residents to improve their properties without the red tape or administrative expense. The bylaw reads as follows.
The beautiful Pelican Landing Resort encompasses 160 acres of newly developed lakefront and lake view lots along the Assiniboine River. There is nothing short of adventure including numerous trails for hiking and quading.
